She graduated from Shanxi Medical University in 1996 with a master degree of medicine in toxicology and worked in the university as a teacher, and graduated from Fudan University in 2007 with a doctoral degree of medicine in toxicology. From 2009 to 2012, she worked in public health and preventive medicine postdoctoral work station of Shanxi Medical University. From 2014 to 2015, she worked in University at Buffalo, the State University of New York as a visiting scholar.

She has mainly engaged in the research on the health hazards of occupational toxicity nanomaterials, and the carcinogenic mechanism of chloroethylene. She has presided over or participated in more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, published more than 50 academic papers, and won one 2nd class prize of Shanxi Science and Technology Progress Awards for Colleges and Universities. She is now the executive council member and secretary general of Shanxi Environmental Mutagen Society, and the council member of Shanxi Toxicology Society.
